SUMMARY:Walking Tour: Handel and his Dublin Messiah
DESCRIPTION:DATE: Monday\, 13th April \nDETAILS: \nThis unique walk by the wonderful Pat Liddy Tours\, celebrates the first presentation of the world-renowned composer\, George Frederick Handel’s immortal Messiah\, which was premiered in Dublin on 13th April\, 1742. The tour will take in the major places connected with Handel’s stay in Dublin and the amazing performance of his masterpiece. Our morning walk will end with the very special annual street performance of Messiah extracts from Our Lady’s Choral Society at 1pm. \nPRICE: \n€ 40 per person to include a hearty full Irish breakfast at SGC\, followed by the tour. \nTIMINGS:\nOur group will meet at SGC for breakfast first from 8.30am onwards\, then walk on down to the meeting point.\nThe tour commences at 10.15am* at the Tree of Gold Sculpture\, Central Plaza\, Dame Street.  Duration is 2 hours. \n*Members are asked to arrive 10 minutes early at the meeting point. \nBOOKINGS:\nCall Sharon at 01 673 0205 or email HERE
