DESCRIPTION:WSET LEVEL 1 AWARD IN WINE COURSE  \nWSET is an awarding body and registered charity devoted to the development and delivery of qualifications and courses in wines and spirits. \nIn a short space of time\, you’ll find yourself feeling much more confident tasting wine\, navigating a wine list\, buying bottles and pairing wine with food. \nThis course is suitable for those with little to no wine knowledge who wish to explore\, withconfidence\, the main styles of wine. Classes are given by wine expert and qualified WSET  educator Noel MacMahon from Febvre Wines. \nThe course consists of three 2.5 hour classes (6.00pm – 8.30pm) held in the Club followed by an exam on the last evening.  Upon successful completion\, you will receive a WSET  certificate. \nThe course costs € 280 per person which includes tasting glasses\, which you get to keep upon course completion.  It is open to all Members though spaces are extremely limited. \n  \nContact sharon.walshe@stephensgreenclub.ie or 01 673 0205 to book your place  \n

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a delightful day exploring Dublin’s rich literary heritage\, in partnership with our friends from the Armagh County Club. This unique walking tour offers a blend of culture\, history\, and camaraderie as we journey through some of the city’s most iconic literary landmarks. \n  \nOUTLINE ITINERARY: \n• 10.50am: Seamus Heaney\, “Listen Now Again” Exhibition\nBank of Ireland Cultural and Heritage Centre Westmoreland Street\, Dublin 2. Meet up with the Armagh County Club members.\n11am (tour start time). A guided tour is arranged. \n• 12.15pm: Trinity College Campus\nSaunter through Trinity College Campus where Burke\, Goldsmith\, Yeats\, Beckett\, etc. studied and lived. \n• 1.15pm to 2pm: Light lunch (soup & sandwiches) at Stephen’s Green Club \n• 2.30pm: Museum of Literature in Ireland at Newmann House. (Guided tour) \n• 4.30pm: Sweny’s Pharmacy – of Joyce & Ulysses fame. \n• 5pm: Kennedy’s Pub – a favourite of Beckett\, Behan\, Joyce and Wilde.\nDrink\, food\, craic and chat to end the day. \n  \nPRICE: €30 per person\, which includes lunch at Stephen’s Green Club and both guided tours.
