DESCRIPTION:A SPECIAL SERVICE TO REMEMBER AND CELEBRATE THE LIVES OF OUR ESTEEMED MEMBERS \nNovember is traditionally a month of remembrance\, and once again the Club will host a special Service of Remembrance to honour and celebrate the lives of esteemed Members who have passed away. \nThe service will be conducted by The Reverend Canon Charles Mullen\, Dean’s Vicar of St Patrick’s Cathedral\, and Canon Fr. SUMMARY:SGC Poker Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for an exciting evening of Texas Hold’em at your Club. \nWhether you’re a seasoned poker player or simply enjoy a little friendly competition\, this is your chance to take a seat\, test your skills and battle it out for a share of the prize pot. \nAll members and guests are welcome. \nEveryone starts on an equal footing\, the blinds increase throughout the evening\, and the remaining players come together at the Final Table to decide the winners. \nTOURNAMENT DETAILS \nGame: Texas Hold’em\nFormat: Double Chance Tournament\nTotal Cost: €65 per player\nPoker Entry: €50\nSupper: €15 \nRegistration: 6:45pm–7:25pm\nTournament Starts: 7:30pm\nExpected Finish: Approximately 11:30pm \nHOW IT WORKS \nThis is a poker tournament\, not a cash game. \nEach player pays a €50 tournament entry and receives an equal starting stack of tournament chips. \nThe Double Chance format means every player has access to a second equal stack during the opening part of the tournament. It can be taken if you lose your first stack or used as a top-up before the end of the break. \nTournament chips have no cash value. \nOnce a player has used both stacks and loses all their chips\, they are eliminated from the tournament. \nAfter the break\, there are no further rebuys or top-ups. \nAs players are eliminated\, tables will be consolidated until the remaining players reach the Final Table. \nThere will be no cash games or side betting. \nTHE EVENING \n6:45pm–7:25pm | Registration \nCheck in\, pay your entry and receive your table and seat allocation. \n7:30pm | Tournament Begins \nPlay begins with all players on equal stacks. Blinds increase every 20 minutes to keep the tournament moving and ensure an exciting finish. \nAround 9:00pm | Break & Supper \nTake a break from the tables and enjoy casual supper bowls in the Bar. \nPlayers who have not yet used their second stack may take it during the break.
